NHR@KIT Terms of Use

By using NHR@KIT systems (HoreKa 2, HAICORE 3.0, FTP), you agree to the following terms:

Acceptable Use

  • Research purposes only: Systems are provided for scientific research
  • Project-bound: Usage must be within approved project scope
  • No commercial use: Commercial applications require separate agreement
  • Export compliance: All work must comply with German export control laws

User Responsibilities

  • Protect your credentials and never share them
  • Report security incidents immediately to support
  • Use resources efficiently and avoid waste
  • Follow data protection and privacy regulations
  • Acknowledge NHR@KIT in publications (see Acknowledgements)

Prohibited Activities

  • Unauthorized access attempts or hacking
  • Cryptocurrency mining
  • Running services accessible from the public internet
  • Storing personal data without approval
  • Excessive resource consumption beyond granted allocation

Acknowledgement Requirement

All publications resulting from work on NHR@KIT systems must include an acknowledgement. See Acknowledgements for templates.
