Connecting to NHR@KIT Systems

After completing registration, you can connect to NHR@KIT systems using the following methods.

VPN required

Outside the KIT network, a VPN connection is required to access NHR@KIT systems. For setup instructions, see the VPN section.

SSH

The default method to connect to HoreKa 2 and HAICORE 3.0 is via SSH. The login nodes are:

  • hk2-x86.scc.kit.edu - for x86_64 systems
  • hk2-a64.scc.kit.edu - for ARM64 systems

FTP login nodes:

  • ftp-x86.scc.kit.edu - for x86 nodes
  • ftp-a64.scc.kit.edu - for ARM64 nodes

Jupyter

Jupyter provides a web-based interface for interactive computing. The JupyterHub for HoreKa 2 is available at hk2-jupyter.scc.kit.edu.
